We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education and committed to supporting young learners during a crucial stage of their development.
You will work closely with class teachers to support children within a nursery or reception setting, helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within the Early Years setting
- Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging activities
- Provide individual and small group support to pupils
- Help to create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development
- Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
Personal Care
Some elements of personal care may be required. Therefore, applicants should be comfortable supporting young children with these needs if necessary. However, this will depend on the specific cohort, as children are encouraged to be fully toilet trained before starting school.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Has prior experience working in a nursery or reception environment
- Demonstrates a genuine passion for working with young children
- Is patient, caring, and adaptable
- Works well as part of a team and uses initiative when needed
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child development
