Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have the patience, empathy, and skills to support children in their learning journey? If so, we want to hear from you! Do you have prior SEN experience working with children with Autism, ADHD or learning difficulties?


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored education plans and strategies to support students' individual learning needs.
  • Support students with personal care, mobility, and medical needs as required.
  • Monitor and record student progress, communicating with teachers and parents as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe and valued.
  • Promote student independence and self-esteem in both academic and social settings.
  • Support classroom activities, ensuring that students can fully participate in lessons.
Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable, but not essential.
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with young people.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and take direction from teachers and SENCo.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as an NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or similar, would be an advantage.
